What you can use for free

The camera map, search, Near me, the make filters, speed and red-light cameras, the heatmap, the state and city pages, the guides, sharing and embedding, camera alerts and the free part of every exposure report. No account, no sign-up.

Camera Watch: the paid plan

Camera Watch costs $10 a year or $2 a month, and starts with a 7-day free trial. It includes:

• An email on any day a license plate camera is newly reported near up to three places you choose (an area around an address, or a drive)
• The full exposure report for any address and drive: every camera, who runs it, the route with fewer cameras and a printable copy
• Every police, state and federal agency that can search plates read near you
• The public-records request letter and the Car Privacy Kit
• The map’s “Run by” and “First reported” filters

During the trial we hold a card but charge nothing; we email you 3 days before it ends, and if you cancel during the trial you pay nothing. After that it renews every year or every month until you cancel. Cancel anytime from your account page: nothing more is charged, and it stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Alerts are for cameras newly reported to OpenStreetMap, which can be days or weeks after a camera goes up.

30-day passes and Supporter plans bought before Camera Watch keep working until they run out, exactly as sold.

How access works

There are no accounts. When you pay, your pass is saved in the browser you paid in, and we email you a link that opens it on any other phone or computer. Lost the email? Use “Already paid? Get your link again” next to any unlock button and we will send a new link to the address you paid with. Clearing your browser data removes the pass from that browser; the email link brings it back.

Refunds

If you are not happy with what you bought, ask and we will refund you in full. Write to us through the contact page with the email address you paid with. Refunds go back to your original payment method through Stripe and usually show up within 5 to 10 business days. For Camera Watch, we can refund the most recent payment and cancel the renewal.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach this site. Prices are in US dollars. See the privacy policy for what is kept.

About the data

Camera locations come from OpenStreetMap volunteers and other public sources. They are community-reported and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, so treat every count as a minimum. The exposure score is a rough index, not a measurement.

Not legal advice

The records-request letter, the Car Privacy Kit and the guides are general information, not legal advice. Laws differ by place. Speed and red-light camera locations are for planning before you drive: in some countries, including Germany and France, using a camera warning app while driving is illegal.

Independence

Flock Camera Locations is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Flock Safety or any camera maker.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update the date at the top of this page. A change never reduces a pass you have already bought.
